Platforms

One experience across four monitoring systems.

Platform adapters normalise host and service state for the same apps and portal while preserving the capabilities of each monitoring system.

Current support

Monitoring and actions by platform.

Nagios and Icinga include operational actions. Checkmk and Sensu currently provide read-only status monitoring.

Nagios

Operational actions

Status, local verification, notifications, acknowledgements, downtime, forced checks, and notification controls.

Icinga

Operational actions

Snapshots and commands through the Icinga REST API, including acknowledgement, downtime, and forced checks.

Checkmk

Status monitoring

Read-only host and service state, output, notification state, and state duration.

Sensu

Status monitoring

Read-only entity and check-event monitoring alongside other Server Alerts sites.

Connector design

Platform-specific locally, consistent centrally.

Each connector reads a supported local interface, normalises the result, and sends it to the selected broker over outbound HTTPS.

Named instancesRun more than one connector on an advanced shared host.
Local credentialsMonitoring credentials stay with local connector configuration.
Version reportingThe portal shows platform, version, health, and updates.
